Kis Platform

As the success of Europe seems intimately bound up with the success of its service economy, the European Commission has expressed a need to create KISPLATFORM to establish an integrated European Innovation Platform for Knowledge Services.

The KIS -IP is a new initiative funded under Europe INNOVA, with the aim to accelerate the take-up of services innovations in Europe. The objective of the KIS-IP is to foster technological as well as non-technological innovation in services by helping innovative SMEs to better exploit research results and to facilitate the search for investors and business partners. The KIS-IP will develop new tools for innovation support, addressing particularly the needs of innovative service companies with the ambition to grow and internationalise fast. To achieve this, the KISPLATFORM will work in collaboration with three different sectoral partnerships namely KISPIMS, ACHIEVEMORE and KIS4SAT.
In this project, INNOVA Europe will establish and promote a European repository of knowledge and good practices on technological and organisational/business model innovation in services, as well as produce a guide on the facilitation of organisational innovation in services. These activities, amongst others to be undertaken in the KISPLATFORM, will lead to economic growth and social wealth for the EU by facilitating the creation of new ventures in services.

The project is financed by the European Commission’s DG Enterprise and Industry.
